Operation
Alternating Relays are used is special applications where the optimization of load usage is required by equalizing the run time of two loads. This alternating action is initiated by a control switch, such as a float switch, manual switch, timing relay, pressure switch, or other isolated contact. Each time the initiating switch is opened, the relay contactsd will change state alternating the two loads.
Alternating Relays with cross-wired contacts can operate as normal alternating relays when one control switch is used. If a second lag switch is used, the relay will simultaneously operate two loads on a first ON, last OFF basis.
